Recently, Kassie decided to share her love of farming with the community she serves. During her break between bus runs, she didn’t just relax or take it easy—instead, she loaded up one of her baby calves from her dairy farm and drove to Sacred Heart School in Marmora. Her mission was simple: to educate students about farming and to give them a hands-on experience with a real-life calf.
This isn’t the first time Kassie has brought a calf to a local school; in fact, it’s the second school she’s visited this year, and both occasions were an absolute hit! The children were overjoyed to meet the adorable calf, and Kassie took the opportunity to share insights about dairy farming, the life of a farmer, and the importance of agriculture in our daily lives. The students asked Kassie numerous questions, showing genuine curiosity about where their milk comes from, what it’s like to care for a calf, and how farming contributes to their community.
