We are pleased to announce that Reid Oyster is joining the Switzer-CARTY team to drive growth in the US school bus transportation market. Reid comes from a long history in school bussing, having grown up in the family business at Apple Bus Company, where he worked alongside his father to grow the company from humble beginnings in 2000 to over 1500 buses operating in over 8 states across 33 locations. In 2022, Reid’s proven record in growing Apple Bus across multiple US states resulted in a successful exit of the business.
Reid’s track record of treating people with dignity and respect, dedicated attention to customer service, and laser focus on student safety align with the core principles of Switzer-CARTY Transportation. As Switzer-CARTY continues to focus on growth opportunities across Canada and into the US, Reid will be an integral part of our success in US market development and entry execution.
Reid also has extensive involvement in industry associations, including the National School Transportation Association (NSTA), where he was an active member and served on the Board of Directors.
